Q: What does class A fire rating mean?
A: Class A Fire Rating is one of the standards used in the US by fire Marshalls and building inspectors for all products installed on vertical walls. (ASTM E84)For a product to be class A fire rated it has to show test results of less than 25 flame spread and less than 450 smoke development.
