Acoustical Product Guide - Step 2 of 3 - Acoustic Treatment: Calculating Acoustical Coverage

STEP 2 OF 3

CALCULATING MINIMAL AND RECOMMENDED ACOUSTICAL COVERAGE BASED ON YOUR SPACE'S DIMENSIONS

Now that we've established that you'll be needing acoustic treatment. The next step is to determine how much acoustical coverage you'll be needing. Use this calculator by entering your room's dimensions, and it will give you a ranged estimate of how much total coverage you'll need. Ranges are displayed as minimum to recommended. Minimum coverage will provide adequate acoustical performance, while recommended coverage will provide significantly better performance than the minimum. A common practice is to begin with the minimum coverage and then deploy any additional coverage as needed. For your convenience, we also display examples of the calculated coverage, translated into popular panel sizes such as the 4'x2', 4'x4' and 8'x4'.
